A huge welcome to my readers of my blog 'The 1 2 3 of ASD'.
As I have mentioned, the aim of this site is to provide educators, professionals and parents with a wide range of strategies, ideas and resources when working with and teaching students with Autism. I encourage my readers to comment and share what they use in their classroom, workplace and/or home environment to effectively teach children and adults with autism.
I am currently a special needs teacher with a degree in psychology, primary teaching and special needs majoring in Austim. I have been a teacher for 4 years and have taught a wide range of children with ASD. I have also worked as an Applied Behavioural Therapist (ABA) for 2 years previous to teaching. As well as my professional experience with children with autism, I am also a sister to a 23 year old brother with severe autism. I look forward to sharing my expertise with my readers.
The blog is currently under construction and I am planning my ideas and formatting at the moment. Please bare with me as I begin my journey as a blogger, become familiar with the site, and organise my ideas in my head and share them on my site.
Let the blogging begin!
